About this Event

BIO

For more than 15 years Chris has been on the front lines helping people open businesses by educating them on business planning, helping navigate the business loan process, and creating a living, breathing entrepreneur ecosystem. Her experience running nonprofits and building rich ecosystems, driven by economic development, makes her uniquely qualified to raise the profile of any organization she works for and increase its impact. She knows firsthand how the power of community development can improve the lives of our neighbors. She seen education, support, and access to capital come together to help people become self-sufficient, while also giving them a sense of place and ownership side-by-side with those they care about most.

Currently, Chris is the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) of Alternatives Federal Credit Union. As CXO, she heads up the marketing department, development department (fundraising), and community programs. But what that really means is she helps raise the money to launch innovative initiatives that help people out of poverty and then tell the world about it. When she brings people together, she inspires them to take action through storytelling and by painting a vivid picture of how we can all be better together. This raises the profile of economic justice in the community and raises the revenue required to make real change. Chris is committed to social justice and has a mission to inspire people to take action through storytelling and by painting a vivid picture of how we can all be better together.
